Acute Care Trauma Surgery opening in Idaho - Located in Coeur D'Alene, ID - Full-time, Permanent Position - Hospital Employed Position Overview : Facility is seeking board eligible / certified General Surgeon, preferred fellowship trained and board eligible / certified in Surgical Critical Care, to practice at our regional referral center hospital located in beautiful Coeur d Alene, Idaho. Ideal candidates will have a strong focus on quality, safety, teamwork and patient satisfaction and be expected to support and expand the emergency general surgery, trauma surgery and surgical critical care programs; working with a team of 10 dedicated general surgeons and 5 APPs. What to expect : - Full-time Surgicalist with 168 shifts per year, covering the trauma and acute care surgery service and follow-up clinic with after-hours night call of 6 nights per month. - Robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, CME, sizable employer retirement contribution, and malpractice (with tail). - ACS verified Level 2 Trauma Center 1,100 trauma admissions annually with 93% blunt / 5% penetrating Practice at only one hospital, a 332 bed hospital, averaging over 14,500 inpatient admissions annually, serving a market area of the ten northern counties of Idaho, and a population of over 300,000. - 24 / 7 hospitalists and intensivist coverage in addition to full medical and surgical specialty backup - State of the art imaging capability immediately adjacent to the emergency department with 3 CTs and 2 MRIs and 3 USs - Medical education opportunities teaching medical students and residents
