Arizona Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Locum tenens (Travel nursing contract) Location : Tucson, Arizona 85712 Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D) Duration : 13 weeks Start Date : October 20, 2025 End Date : January 19, 2026 Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend (approx. 4 weekend shifts per month) Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Float : Required based on census Charting System : Epic EMR Estimated Weekly Salary : $2130 - $2190 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience Active Arizona RN license Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (completed within the last 2 years) Proficiency with Epic charting system Community hospital experience preferred Willingness to float to other units as needed Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of Tucson (no local candidates) One supervisory reference required Travel nurses with only one DUI (older than one year) may be considered Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns Assist with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and antepartum / postpartum care Perform and interpret fetal monitoring (EFM, IUPC, spiral electrode placement) Administer medications and therapies (Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives) Support breastfeeding and lactation education for new parents Conduct newborn assessments and provide family education Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, pharmacy, social services) Float to other hospital units as required Experience the best of Arizona healthcare jobs while making a difference in Tucson.
