As a Senior Project Associate for the Environmental Services Group, you'll be crucial in delivering impactful projects, working closely with Project Managers to keep everything on track. You'll take the lead as Deputy Project Manager on smaller projects, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish. You'll be instrumental in shaping successful outcomes with your strong background in strategic communication, project planning, and budget management.
This role is perfect for someone who loves collaboration, leadership, and hands-on project management. You'll be working with clients, internal teams, and vendors—delivering excellent service while keeping everything moving forward efficiently.
This position can work out of our Orange County or San Jose office.
Salary Range : $78,000 - $92,000
What You'll Do : Project Management
- Support Project Managers in high-level project execution.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to team members.
- Manage specific project tasks, schedules, and budgets.
- Act as the primary client liaison on select projects.
- Oversee Associates and Coordinators in vendor / subcontractor interactions.
- Prepare progress reports for Project Managers and clients.
Research & Content Development
Conduct independent research and oversee research effortsAnalyze complex technical reports to convey information in lay terms for CEQA and NEPA documentsEnsure high-quality production of written materialsRepresent Projects to Various Stakeholders
Represent the company at client meetings, public events, and industry gatherings.Organize client meetings to achieve desired outcomesRespond knowledgeably to the public, staff, and decision makersMarketing
Identify opportunities for additional project work and new business.Assist in the preparation of proposals, scopes, and budgetsParticipate in informal marketing initiativesTo Be Considered, You'll Need :
? Degree in planning, environmental studies or related field and / or four years experience in CEQA and NEPA document preparation.? Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality work in a timely and efficient manner? Demonstrated experience in meeting deadlines and budget objectives? Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.? Competent technical writing skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
? Strong organizational and time management skills.? Ability to travel for public meetings / events (1-2 times per month), including evenings and weekends.? Physical Ability to lift and carry event supplies up to 20 lbs.Why Join Us?
