Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Must-Have :

Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Description : IR RN needed.

This position involves working Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM.

The Clinical Nurse is an engaged and credentialed member of the Professional Nursing Organization.

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for autonomous practice directed by the professional tenets of practitioner, leader / decision maker, scientist, and transferor.

Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to provide evidence-based care.

The Clinical Nurse is expected to continuously monitor and evaluate practice to ensure the safe passage of patients.

The Clinical Nurse will utilize critical thinking to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, modifying the plan of care as necessary.

Practicing in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics is essential to advocate for patients.

The role involves ensuring informed consent and assisting patients and families in expressing self-determination.

Engaging in governance of practice and managing interpersonal relationships is key.

Mentoring colleagues to advance nursing practice is encouraged.

The Clinical Nurse must prioritize and organize time to optimize patient outcomes.

Actively seeking out current evidence and applying it to daily practice is expected.

Effective communication in various formats is essential in all practice areas.

Partnership with others to effect change that produces positive outcomes is vital.

The Clinical Nurse will precept student nurses and other members of the healthcare team.

Other duties may be required or assigned as necessary.
