The University of Miami Health System’s IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full‑Time IT Solutions Architect 2 – ServiceNow. The principal responsibilities include leading all aspects of application development and implementation, collaborating with analysts, staff, physicians, and leadership to ensure successful implementation of technology‑enabled workflows and continuous improvement of user adoption and utilization.
Core Responsibilities
- Engineer new workflows or optimize existing business processes that supersede existing standards set in place internally or by vendors utilizing expert knowledge across multiple clinical applications and operational areas.
- Lead projects associated with application implementation and execution of high‑complexity and high‑impact initiatives, applying project management methodology and maintaining project plans.
- Function as an independent project lead or provide oversight for project managers and / or business analysts on assigned projects and minimize business value loss during project / program execution.
- Perform proactive analysis on current systems and technology to recommend potential changes or enhancements that align with the organization’s strategic vision and improve operational workflows and end‑user experience.
- Identify product and customization requirements to effectively address necessary product configuration while working within project scope and timeline.
- Serve as mentor to senior analysts and be proficient and / or certified in supported applications.
- Hold comprehensive working knowledge of operational processes and job functions pertaining to University of Miami applications and solutions.
- Possess expert knowledge of third‑party partnerships, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
- Provide support to the team in analyzing, resolving, and escalating complex integration problems encountered during system implementations and upgrades.
- Design new solutions that stay ahead of industry / peer trends and think creatively out of the box.
- Participate in new hire orientation by providing application support in the required work area.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop or improve operational processes, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in all operations meetings to assess user feedback, gather future requirements for modifications, and provide status on competency, adoption, and utilization rates.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer of technology‑enabled user workflows and best‑practice use of applications.
- Adhere to University and unit‑level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
Department Specific Functions
Lead all aspects of application development and implementation.Collaborate closely with analysts, staff, physicians, and leadership to ensure successful implementation of technology‑enabled workflows and continuous improvement toward user adoption and utilization.Understand complex business needs, processes, strategies, and objectives to identify opportunities for technology improvement or innovation.Provide mentorship for application and technical teams in the ongoing management of user requests, issues, and delivery of application enhancements.Establish, implement, and document technology integration or migration strategies related to ServiceNow.Core Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.At least one ServiceNow Certification (CMA, CTA, CAS, CAD, CSA) required.7 years of ServiceNow experience.10 years of Information Technology experience.Healthcare / Higher‑education experience preferred.Demonstrated ability to map solutions to address issues and problems.Experience in IT solution architecture and understanding of enterprise architecture.Exceptional problem‑solving capability and strategic thinking.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.Provide technical subject‑matter expertise, act as a technical product advocate, design, develop, and implement ITIL processes such as ITSM, ITOM, SACM, Knowledge, Demand, and Release Management modules within ServiceNow.Work closely with colleagues to define, design, and implement ServiceNow solutions that meet business requirements and align with future state.Create system design and detailed technical documentation.Provide technical expertise and leadership in ServiceNow platform architecture.Configure and enhance ServiceNow platform using scripts and platform capabilities.Conduct deep‑dive technical troubleshooting and issue resolution.Lead and participate in system and integration testing, ensuring best practices are followed.Educate and coach colleagues and users on ServiceNow functionalities and best practices.Ensure that all implementation work is carried out in accordance with company policies and industry best practices.The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission and more.
