Job description

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Locum

Location : Elizabeth, NJ 07206

Schedule : Monday Friday, 9 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM

Weekends : None

Duration : August 25 December 2025

Setting : 100% Inpatient Psychiatry Unit (Ages 6 17)

Position Highlights

Role : Locum Psychiatrist providing inpatient care for children and adolescents

Responsibilities include :

  • Manage psychiatric care for ages 6 17 in an inpatient setting
  • No procedures or surgeries required
  • Work independently with robust support from residents, nursing staff, and social workers
  • No call coverage required

Requirements

Experience : Prior child & adolescent inpatient experience preferred

Licensure / Certifications :

  • Active NJ medical license
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
