Warehouse Associate
Location : McDonough, GA
Pay : $19.60 / hr.
This position reports to the Operations Supervisor and will be responsible for damages, cleanouts, and general housekeeping within the warehouse. Position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., Dry, Cooler and Freezer areas).
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the selecting isles are aligned, and product is brought forward.
- Ensure that the floor is kept clear of any debris that would hinder the selecting process.
- Clean out company trailers; remove empty pallets / crates and organize for pickup.
- Follows all safety rules and completes all duties as assigned.
- Safely operate all equipment utilized to perform tasks associated with role.
- Safe operation of Fork truck, clamp truck, Floor scrubber, battery changing station & ride on / walk behind pallet jack.
- Maintain Company standards for safety, attendance, and conduct.
- Maintain proper and safe lifting techniques.
- Perform daily safety inspections on material handling equipment.
- Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Cleans up any spills or breakages to inventoried product; recoup damages and determines if resalable or must be disposed of per government and NDCP food safety requirements.
- Prepares various reports and forms to document cleaning schedule, spillages, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies.
- Provide equipment for the selecting process, i.e., cardboard separators and pallets.
- Power wash trash receptacles, general cleaning duties include but are not limited to sweeping, dusting, mopping, trash pick-up and use of compactor, may be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
- Assist in the orderly maintenance & general housekeeping of the warehouse. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.
- Use a headset to find individual items within the warehouse.
- Attend all required Company meetings.
- Follow NDCP's Good Distribution Practices.
- Cross train in other functions and perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Ability to operate shrink-wrap machine and manually shrink-wrap productAbility to operate powered industrial trucks (forklift, pallet jack, high lift)Ability to work flexible days and hours.
