About the Position : Under the direction of the District Attorney, administers, coordinates, directs, supervises and evaluates the personnel and operations of the Investigations Division within the District Attorney's Office. Supervises and performs police and investigative duties to ensure the strict enforcement of applicable laws and regulations. Prepares and maintains required records and reports.

The department is currently recruiting for one (1) anticipated vacancy in November. In addition, Tehama County is establishing an eligibility list to fill future vacancies for a Chief Investigator, as well as subsequent vacancies which occur during the life of the eligibility list.
New employees should anticipate being hired at the beginning step of the salary range. Candidates who exceed entry level qualifications may be considered, with approval from the Board of Supervisors, for placement at other than A step.
