Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 4+ years of HVAC design or project engineering experience PE or EIT required Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software (e.g., Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP). Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards, local building codes, and energy efficiency requirements. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Job Description
The Encompass Group has partnered with a full-service, multi-disciplinary firm in Metairi to find a Mechanical Enginee r with a focus on HVAC projects to join the team. This role will support the design, analysis, and execution of HVAC systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop HVAC systems, including load calculations, ductwork, piping, and equipment selection.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure design intent is met.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and system evaluations to ensure compliance with project standards and codes.
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through commissioning.
