Job Description

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in wood and steel framing for residential and / or commercial construction and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role also requires periodic travel to perform warranty repairs on completed projects.

Responsibilities

Perform wood framing for walls, floors, roofs, and structural elements according to project plans and specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction documents.

Ensure work meets company quality standards, building codes, and safety requirements.

Complete warranty repair tasks as needed, including traveling to job sites within assigned regions.

Collaborate with supervisors and team members to maintain an efficient and safe job site.

Accurately measure, cut, and assemble framing materials.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

2+ years of framing carpentry experience preferred.

Strong understanding of framing techniques, construction math, and building codes.

Ability to work safely at heights and with power tools.

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Must provide personal basic tools, including but not limited to : drill, hammer, measuring tape, basic hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with drywall and finish carpentry.

Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Willing and able to travel for warranty work (company covers expenses).

Work Environment

Work takes place in both indoor and outdoor warehouse and job sites. The role requires the ability to work independently and solve on-site issues. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montebello, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 / hr.
