Job description

Job Summary

Lamplight Farms, home of the TIKI Brand, has an 1st shift opportunity within our Maintenance Department for a Production Maintenance Technician. In this role you will work independently supporting maintenance needs of semi-complex, automated manufacturing equipment. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently troubleshoot semi-automated equipment with a high degree of quality in a reliable problem solving process.
  • Perform planned maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, throughout production.
  • Continue to learn equipment by studying equipment manuals.
  • Work with engineers and other team members during the building and installation of new equipment to ensure proper maintenance of new equipment.
  • Responsible for knowing and following all safety and compliance requirements by maintaining cleanliness within work area and maintaining good documentation practices on all required paperwork.
  • Identify and support process and equipment design improvements to eliminate recurring problems.
  • Perform written documentation for recordkeeping as defined in the standard operating procedures for equipment maintenance.
  • May be required to perform other maintenance duties and / or lead special projects as required or assigned, reasonably within the scope of the duties listed above.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualification Requirements

  • High School diploma or completion of GED equivalent t
  • Three (3) years of practical experience performing maintenance on manufacturing equipment General knowledge of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Computer skills and the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office to include Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical drawings, flowcharts, and / or other drawings of a technical nature.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with team members, engineers, manufacturing management.
  • Physical Requirements

    Normal Warehouse or Distribution Center Environment

    Ability to Push, Pull, Lift and Carry up to 20 pounts regularly

    Ability to Lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally
