Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,997 per week in Columbus, OH

Description : Registered Nurse needed for a Medical Surgical unit. The position requires the ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM. Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 : 5. Candidates should have 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certifications are preferred. Nurses must demonstrate proficiency in IV starts, patient monitoring, labs, and medication administration. Patient education skills are essential. Experience with the EPIC charting system is required. The unit serves a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 24 patients, with 31 beds available. Experience in administering blood products and managing chronic conditions is beneficial. Candidates must be adaptable and willing to float to other units as required. This role includes interdisciplinary support from various medical teams. A focus on rehabilitation for patients with brain and spinal cord injuries is essential. Candidates must be prepared for a rigorous credentialing process.
