Job descriptionProvide care for patients in pre-operative, phase I, and phase II recovery settings Demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and post-anesthesia patient care Assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and track stability indicators or complications Utilize critical thinking skills to care for patients in post-anesthesia care units Work with equipment including Meditech, PCA Pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV Pumps, Cryocuff, SCD's, Bair PAWS Warmers, HP Monitors, and Phillips Monitors Variable shifts of 8, 10, and 12 hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Work between ASU and PACU units with no guarantee of hours or shift preference On-call shifts 0-3 times per month (8-hour nights and 24-hour weekends / holidays) Minimum 2+ years experience as a critical care RN in hospital setting (ER & ICU experience may substitute for PACU experience) Required certifications : Valid BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association Must possess active Hawaii nursing license by assignment start date PALS certification recommended and may be required for specific positions Other specialty certifications such as NIHSS and TNCC preferred Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical / religious exception required prior to start Referral bonus
