General Manager

Haggai Truck Center Griffin, GA

Haggai Truck Center, a family-owned business in Griffin, GA, is looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of our heavy-duty truck repair shop. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring profitability and efficiency, providing exceptional customer service, and leading our team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities

Leadership and personnel management

  • Lead, motivate, and develop all department staff, including service advisors and technicians.
  • Foster a positive work environment and ensure strong team morale.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Operations and business management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the truck repair shop, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
  • Manage inventory effectively to optimize sales and profitability.
  • Ensure the facility complies with all federal, state, and local safety and industry regulations.
  • Sales and customer relations

  • Drive sales of products and services by developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Maintain the highest standards of customer service, handle escalated complaints, and work to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Build and grow the customer base and maintain strong relationships with key customers and vendors.
  • Approve marketing strategies and coordinate with marketing teams to promote dealership offerings.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar senior leadership role within the heavy-duty truck industry.
  • Strong understanding of truck service operations, including repair and maintenance processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Have a CDL to test drive the trucks.
