Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION : To provide typing and general clerical services.

QUALIFICATIONS : High school diploma or equivalent. Some knowledge of office terminology, procedures, and equipment. Typing skill at 50 wpm preferred (test required). Ability to write legibly, follow oral and written directions, and work with a variety of people.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Perform clerical duties as assigned.
  • Serve as public relations liaison in answering telephones, taking messages, returning phone calls, and receiving visitors.
  • Provide a positive district image for all visitors and personnel who desire information and / or services.
  • Coordinate training to be in compliance with Medicaid requirements. Provide Medicaid and RMTS training for all district-wide AHCCCS providers.
  • Review IEPs for compliance and accuracy, and assist in bringing special education files into compliance for both Medicaid and State audits.
  • Collaborate with other district departments to ensure full compliance for both special education records and Medicaid.
  • Create and maintain a spreadsheet of all current providers with all pertinent information including current licensure, CPR / First Aid, and AHCCCS Provider ID numbers, and maintain physical files with all licensure dating back five years.
  • Operate standard office machines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SALARY : Twelve-month position, beginning salary Level 29, employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.

EVALUATION : Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of support personnel.
