What you’ll do
- Embrace team-based manufacturing; maintain consistent, on-time attendance to support a safe, well-staffed line.
- Work mandatory overtime when business needs require; production may extend beyond scheduled shifts.
- Review the production schedule to confirm finished hose runs and your table assignment.
- Check the Batch Card to identify and stage correct raw materials.
- Set the Automatic Counter for required hose lengths.
- Activate the cutter via foot pedal to advance and cut hose to length.
- Install appropriate fittings on expander machines; assemble hose and fittings; use the expander foot pedal; remove hose and repeat.
- Feed the male end of hose into the winding machine; coil, label, strap or wire-tie; visually inspect; assemble cartons; apply side labels; place coils into cartons and / or onto the belt conveyor; repeat until designated quantities are met, then slide cartons to the conveyor.
- Print carton labels on a computerized label printer; distribute labels to assemblers; prepare samples and orders.
- Perform required quality checks, including length checks; quickly recognize and respond to quality issues.
- Maintain accurate daily production records and achieve company productivity standards.
- Supply finishing tables with unassembled cartons and other operational supplies.
- Exercise sound operational judgment to maintain production levels; perform other related tasks as directed.
- Understand quality parameters to support completion of customer return orders; train employees on processes and procedures.
