Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN for a contract position in Oxford, NC. This is a combined Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit, though Tele Techs are separate. Nurses will care for a diverse patient population and work in a collaborative team environment.

Job Details :

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shift : Nights, 3x12 (7 : 00 PM 7 : 00 AM)

Patient Population : General surgery, orthopedics, CHF, diabetes, general illness, sepsis

Unit Size : 27 beds, typically 5 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratio

Support Staff : Usually 3 aides and a unit secretary

Orientation : 3 shifts (1 hospital-wide, 2 on-unit with RN preceptor)

Scheduling : Self-scheduling model; every other weekend; 4-week schedule

Floating : Possible to overflow Medical unit, occasionally ICU for stable patients

Requirements :

Active NC RN license (or Compact RN license)

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

BLS & ACLS (AHA only)

IV start skills

Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience preferred

Travel experience preferred

EMR : Meditech (experience not required)
