Job descriptionProvide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care, including well-child checks, acute sick visits, minor injuries, and chronic condition follow-up (e.g., asthma, ADHD) Manage scheduled and walk-in patients in 20-minute appointment blocks, with longer slots reserved for procedures (e.g., toenail removals, Nexplanon insertions / removals, circumcisions, casting, suturing) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including full-time Pediatricians, Physician Assistants, and other locums Participate in a shared call schedule, handling consults and supporting residents as last call for high-risk deliveries and urgent issues If applicable, conduct inpatient newborn rounding and perform discharge newborn checks (no NICU responsibility; high-acuity cases transferred out) Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination Must be board certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine with direct pediatric experience (minimum 3 years) Required certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Oregon medical license required Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking a Pediatrician for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Oregon, starting Nov 10, 2025. This full-time clinic role offers a Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM schedule, and includes a 1 : 4 weekend call rotation. The assignment covers comprehensive pediatric outpatient care with opportunities to participate in newborn rounding.
