Overview

Transportation Design Engineer - Nashville, TN. TTL, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to join our Nashville office. In this role, you will play a critical part on our team by developing and analyzing design plans for transportation projects, applying them to roadway design, CADD production, and documenting the design process and communications.

TTL is an engineering design firm delivering integrated infrastructure solutions for public and private clients. With more than 500 team members across the Southern United States, TTL provides services including civil engineering; transportation design and CEI; geotechnical engineering; environmental consulting; construction materials engineering and testing; and surveying, GIS, and mapping.

Base pay

$95,000.00 / yr - $105,000.00 / yr

Nashville, TN

Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze design plans on transportation projects and apply them to roadway design
  • Produce CADD deliverables and manage vertical and horizontal alignment creation
  • Create existing and proposed cross sections; process survey data; perform quantity calculations
  • Document the design process and communications
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure adherence to design criteria and standards (AASHTO, TDOT, and local)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 4-7 years of experience in DOT or Local Government providing design project services
  • Tennessee P.E. or the ability to obtain one within six months
  • Proficiency in MicroStation / Open Roads Designer / required design and analysis software
  • Familiar with TDOT and AASHTO design guidance, standards, and production tools
  • Strong technical writing and effective oral / written communication skills

    • Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD / Civil 3D
