Job Title
Supervises installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in parks and related facilities, including security and athletic lighting. Supervises Park amenities crew engaged in installation, maintenance, and repair of park buildings and equipment.
Essential Functions
- Install and repair electrical lights, power wiring fixtures, appliances, and apparatus inside buildings or on park grounds;
- Inspect electrical equipment regularly for damage;
- Perform maintenance on electrical controls used with irrigation system;
- Prepare specifications on, and order a variety of electrical tools, parts, and equipment;
- Oversee ordering of supplies and equipment as needed to maintain proper stock level;
- Supervise and participate in the maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems in a parks setting;
- Supervise the installation, maintenance and repair of park facilities, buildings and equipment;
- Maintain records of work performed;
- Prepare estimates of needed parts, supplies, and equipment for budgeting purposes;
- Perform related duties as directed.
Qualifications
Completion of a high school diploma or the equivalent with an additional four years of experience as a journey electrician. Possession of master electrician license. Master license requires four years work as an apprentice, four years work as a journeyman, and passing an examination.
Physical Exam Required
Valid Current Commercial Driver's License Master electrician License
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of : Principles and practices of electrical construction, testing, and repair; use of computers.
Ability to : Perform electrical wiring and equipment installation and repair;Communicate effective with others;Supervise the work of others;Read and understand blueprints and schematics.Physical Requirements
