JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks related to land and engineering survey work for County projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year of work experience in Surveying or other related field. Preference given for Associate Degree in Geomatics, Surveying Program, or Civil Engineering. Must take and pass the Level I certified Survey Technician (CST) exam within the first six months of employment. Must receive a verified negative test result on a mandatory drug test before starting in this position. Will be subject to random alcohol and drug testing. May be subject to post accident and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Knowledge of mathematical problem solving, including algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Ability to learn and follow instructions and directions. Ability to learn and incorporate principles, methods and techniques of effective traffic control.
Skills and Abilities to :
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is normally performed in an outdoor environment with exposure to some physical risk and moderate physical effort. Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 100 lbs on a regular basis. Must withstand intermittent exposure to noise, heat, cold, dampness, dust, fumes, traffic hazards, and inclement weather.
