Tax Professional – Seasonal (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Location : Honolulu, HI (East Oʻahu – Honolulu, Kailua, Kaneohe, Salt Lake, Kalihi, Kahala)

Pay Range : $15 – $80 / hr

Benefits : Medical, Retirement (based on eligibility)

What You’ll Do

Conduct in-person and virtual tax interviews (via video, phone, chat, or email)

Prepare accurate and complete tax returns

Provide IRS support and guidance to clients

Recommend and explain additional products and services

Build strong, trusting relationships with clients

Collaborate with your team to meet office goals

Mentor and support fellow tax professionals (if experienced)

Continue developing your tax expertise through training and support

What You Bring to the Team

Passion for helping people with their financial goals

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Comfort using virtual tools and technology

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of H&R Block’s Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course

Ability to meet IRS and state licensing requirements

It Would Be Even Better If You Have :

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field

CPA, EA, or state tax certification

Experience preparing complex individual, trust, or partnership tax returns

Background in customer service, sales, or bookkeeping

5+ years in accounting, finance, or tax (for senior-level roles)

Experience conducting virtual tax interviews or planning sessions
