Job Summary
Medical Science Liaisons build relationships and demonstrate the clinical outcomes and benefits of Client products. They educate and demonstrate benefits of key products to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), provide medical information, and coordinate educational workshops, round tables, medical forums, etc. They may explore and identify sites for clinical trials in all stages of development. Incumbents possess deep scientific and clinical education and experience.
Responsibilities
Act as a scientific liaison between the Client and key external customers to further scientific exchange.
Provide advanced product and scientific / medical field support to internal teams (Medical, Sales, Marketing, Managed Care, Government).
Develop and maintain medical (territory and account) plans in coordination with the MSL Field Director.
Execute strategic determination of change of territory prioritization based on customer need and analytics.
Build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, physicians, nurse practitioners, Alzheimer’s Disease educators, pharmacists, blood bank staff, organized providers / IDNs, and MCOs.
Attend assigned medical and scientific meetings, maintain awareness of current issues and new data, and support representatives in answering patient / provider questions.
Coordinate clinical trials across all phases, ensuring study initiation, completion, publication, patient recruitment and retention.
Provide scientific and clinical education to internal and external stakeholders, including chief executives, medical directors, and formulary stakeholders.
Record all activities in the CRM system (e.g., VEEVA) and expenses in Concur.
Physical Requirements
50-75% overnight travel required.
Position is field-based.
Valid driver’s license required.
Qualifications
Advanced degree required (PharmD, MD, relevant PhD, etc).
At least two years’ experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, or managed care environment.
Relevant clinical and / or therapeutic experience preferred.
Business acumen based on experience (e.g., formulary process decisions).
Extensive experience in neurology, specifically Alzheimer’s Disease strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills.

The potential base pay range for this role is $150,000-$220,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and / or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and / or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and / or other benefits.
