Our ideal Tax Manager should have five years or more of public tax accounting experience. As a member of the Ellin & Tucker tax team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other tax professionals in delivering the highest quality service to our clients, and you will interact directly with our clients on a regular basis to better understand and serve their needs.
You will also be given the tools to grow and develop your career with support and mentoring from more experienced Certified Public Accountants in the accounting, auditing, and tax areas of Ellin & Tucker, as well as through your regular participation in internal and external Continuing Professional Education programs.
What you will be doing :
- Coordinate, review, and sign state and federal tax returns, quarterly estimated payments, and personal property tax returns
- Supervising the efforts of multiple client services teams on client engagements; planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects in a wide variety of industries
- Perform advanced-level tax research projects and compose comprehensive memoranda
- Deliver proactive tax planning strategies tailored to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and business owners
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as well as independently on both non-recurring and ongoing projects
- Act as project manager for special projects at the request of the management team
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance and development of tax associates
- Manage IRS audit processes
- Develop and edit correspondence and other client deliverables as needed
- Participate in networking and business development activities on behalf of the firm
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
Who are you?
Bachelor’s degree in AccountingMinimum of five years of tax and successful client consulting experienceStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and within a team environmentStrong research and oral and written communication skills, and ability to articulate complex informationAbility to manage multiple engagements and client service teamsAbility to consistently exercise good judgment in dealing with a variety of situations and issuesProficient with tax preparation and workflow software including Prosystem Fx Engagement and Tax suiteProficient with tax research software including BNA and RIA Checkpoint.What You’ll Gain :
