Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmologist to join our team to give back to America s heroes and help them receive their well-deserved Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits in Bangor. Summary Part-time, 1-2 days / week $1600 / day 5 appts / day No treating or prescribing No refraction Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. No refraction required Diagnose visual disorders and document findings Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and medical terminology. Utilize systems for managing patient appointments and medical records efficiently. Experience MD / DO degree from an accredited institution. Valid state license to practice medicine. ANY STATE Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system and common ocular diseases. Familiarity with medical records management systems is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient interaction. Previous assessment experience preferred, but not required.
