Estimated Weekly Salary : $1210 - $1240 Med / Surg LPN Job Details – Rochester, NY Location : Rochester, NY 14621 (Upstate New York healthcare job) Unit : Medical / Surgical (MS / Tele) Unit Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 16 / 2025 – End : 3 / 17 / 2026) Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts / week (19 : 00 – 07 : 00) Total Hours : 36 hours / week Patient Ratio : 6 : 1 (Nights) Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Orientation : 16 hours EMR : Epic Scrub Colors : Navy and white Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications Active New York LPN license (required for Rochester nursing jobs) At least 1 year of recent hospital experience (within the last 2 years) Previous travel LPN experience required Proficiency with Epic EMR BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) Ability to independently manage patient assignments with RN support Willingness to float to other Medical / Surgical units as needed Med / Surg LPN Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med / Surg unit Monitor and document vital signs, intake / output, and patient status changes Administer medications (antianxiety, antidepressants, antihypertensives, pain management) Perform wound care, dressing changes, and pressure ulcer prevention Assist with bathing, feeding tube care, Foley catheter insertion, and colostomy management Conduct 12-lead EKGs, blood glucose monitoring, and telemetry monitoring Communicate effectively with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Participate in de-escalation protocols and provide end-of-life care as needed Float to other Med / Surg units within the hospital as required Ready to take your Med / Surg LPN career to the next level in Rochester, NY?
