You will have a mostly outpatient practice and share 1 : 3 coverage of the infrequent low acuity inpatients (complex patients are referred to the large tertiary medical center in Bangor). Pediatricians here also attend c-sections a couple of times per month on average (about 75 / year total for the group, out of about 220 annual births). Most of the time, you will see patients in a welcoming outpatient clinic the beautifully appointed Womens and Childrens Health Center within the medical center (a quick walk from the labor / delivery unit), supported by an excellent clinical and administrative team using Epic EMR.The employer is a hospital-affiliated FQHC (federally qualified health center) certified as a Patient-Centered Medical Home.
