You will establish and implement security plans and procedures (such as Standard Operating Procedures, Electronic System Security, SAP technology maintenance processes and OPSED plans).

You will lead / perform security investigations for incidents involving the actual or possible loss, compromise or inadvertent disclosure of classified information.

You will establish procedures for document marking, safeguarding, and use; personnel access controls, need-to-know criteria, physical storage and control.

You will identify the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals.

You will evaluate reports by analyzing facts and performing appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact organization, installation, command or agency.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.

You must be willing to obtain and maintain required certification and / or license, as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : managing and safeguarding highly sensitive national security information within a Special Access Programs (SAP) environment; involvement in the implementation, overseeing and ensuring strict compliance with security protocols designed to protect classified information beyond standard classified levels; responsible for the management of the security efforts conducted under the FRCE SAP(s).
