Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Long Term Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Summary – Registered Nurse (Night Shift) Shift : Nights | 3x12-hour shifts Contract Weeks : 13 Overview : The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by developing and following individualized nursing care plans. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees, and promotes a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in accordance with Select Medical’s Core Values. Key Responsibilities : Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans. Identify and address patient and family teaching needs, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve care goals. Provide timely and accurate documentation of all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with policy. Participate actively in rehabilitation programs and patient education to support recovery and discharge planning. Maintain communication with the care team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety. Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff effectively, ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Promote and model Select Medical’s “10 Foot Circle of Safety” by adhering to policies on safe patient handling, infection control, and environmental safety. Serve as Charge Nurse as assigned and support team-building efforts to foster a positive, efficient workplace. Monitor use of supplies and resources to ensure cost-effective care delivery. Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study. Required Skills & Certifications : BLS Certification – Required ACLS Certification – Required. Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience – Highly desired.
