Bay City, TX – Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location : Bay City, TX

Employment : Full-time, Day shift

Pay : : $25-$34 / hr PLUS Sign on Bonus!

Job Title : Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Equipment, Forklift & Gen Set Specialist

Reporting To : Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities

Conduct preventive maintenance using equipment checklists

Diagnose issues with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems

Troubleshoot forklifts, trucks, wheel loaders

Read schematics and service manuals

Use digital systems to track parts and maintenance

Requirements

5+ years experience in similar roles

Familiar with major heavy equipment makes and systems

High School diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred

Skills

Must bring own tools

Organized and detail-oriented

Strong electrical / system knowledge

Good interpersonal skills and safety-first mindset

Valid driver’s license required
