Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler and be part of an industry-leading company in commercial truck modification. You will work on modifying standard new trucks into specialized vehicles, such as auto transport trucks and vehicles with steering conversions for municipal use. As we expand our product line with our biggest client, we seek skilled technicians to join our growing team and help us meet the increasing demand for our innovative solutions.

Responsibilities :

Perform extensive assembly modification work based on printed picture work instructions.

Begin with basic lines, including installing a second steering wheel and executing basic modifications.

Utilize hand and impact tools throughout the day.

Conduct some electrical routing with plug & play based on work instructions.

Essential Skills :

Experience with heavy trucks, including pulling / swapping transmissions and suspension changes.

Competence in using hand and power tools.

Ability to read printed picture work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

Experience in rebuilding transmissions and wiring.

Possession of a comprehensive tool set, including air impacts, battery impacts, socket wrenches, drills, and assortments of sockets and gaskets.

Work Environment :

Work the first shift from 5 : 30 am to 2 : 00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours until 4 : 00 pm and some Saturday work. The facility is clean and organized, though not climate-controlled. You may work independently in some departments and as part of a team of 2-3 people in others.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
