American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Tuba City, Arizona.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a compact or AZ license and advanced certifications for a flexible shift position in a rural hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital Emergency Department serving a diverse population in a rural area
  • Flexible schedule with variable day, evening, night, and weekend shifts
  • Serves all age groups in a culturally rich, semi-desert region
  • Assignment length is 10 weeks
  • Orientation sessions offered every two weeks
  • Provide emergency nursing care for patients of all ages
  • Will work independently and follow physician orders and nursing standards of care
  • Must complete fingerprinting before starting the assignment
  • Housing options are limited and must be arranged immediately after acceptance; no family or pets allowed in provided housing
  • Cultural competence and respect for the local community are essential
  • Shared housing available at an additional cost, subject to availability

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license from any state (AZ or compact accepted)
  • Minimum of 3 years ER nursing experience required
  • Certifications required and must be maintained : BLS, ACLS, and PALS from American Heart Association
  • NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC required (may be obtained within first year of employment as specified)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within one year of hire
  • Emergency Severity Index Level 5 within three months of hire
  • Patient Sitter Competency Training upon hire
  • COVID and flu vaccination or approved declination form required
