Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in a vascular interventional setting, requiring an active IL RN license and strong procedural skills.
Responsibilities
Position is in a vascular interventional radiology department within a hospitalWorks with adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional proceduresProcedures include peripheral vascular interventions, central line placements, tube changes, embolizations (arterial / venous), venous thrombectomy, and neuro interventions if qualifiedUtilizes EPIC for all charting and documentationDay shifts, Monday through Friday, working four 9-hour shifts per week from 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PMNo local candidates accepted; position requires living at least 50 miles from the facilityResponsible for providing direct 1 : 1 patient care during a variety of diagnostic and interventional radiology proceduresParticipates as a member of a multidisciplinary team of RNs and Radiology Technologists, typically comprising 3-4 staff membersMust administer medications, monitor hemodynamics, and maintain accurate procedural documentationExpected to adapt to changes in procedures and respond effectively to emergent situationsRTO (time off) not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contractAssignments may last up to one year, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returningFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyNo travel partners accepted for this positionRequirements
Active IL RN license (may be temporary) in good standingMinimum of three years relevant nursing experience in a procedural or interventional settingAssociate degree in nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferredCurrent certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart AssociationPrior experience with EPIC charting and Level 1 trauma preferredExperience with moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and identifying life-threatening arrhythmiasBenefits
