Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated professional to serve as Deputy Director. This is a high-impact leadership position providing critical strategic and administrative oversight across the department. You will be responsible for directing and managing a diverse division, driving short-and long-range public health plans, and delivering professional, technical, and administrative management for critical public and environmental health programs across 15 Cape Cod communities. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, managing division grants and budget, interpreting public health laws, and acting as Department Deputy Director in the Directors absence. Minimum requirements : Bachelors degree in environmental public health or a related science and five or more years of experience providing public / environmental health services. Masters degree preferred. Thorough knowledge of public and environmental health laws. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
