Import / Export Logistics Coordinator

Import / Export Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities :

  • Manage daily import and export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and related paperwork in compliance with trade regulations
  • Coordinate bookings and international shipments from domestic plants and vendors to global warehouses and customers
  • Perform transaction audits, resolve discrepancies, and reconcile or protest as appropriate
  • Read, interpret, and apply government trade compliance regulations
  • Lead and participate in training on import / export rules for individuals and groups
  • Drive business unit projects that enhance compliance, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost savings
  • Approve related invoices and prepare monthly reports tracking KPIs for import / export activities
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments including supply chain, procurement, transportation / logistics, customer service, finance, HR, IT, and legal
  • Utilize enterprise systems (e.g., Veralto) and continuous improvement methodologies to achieve sustainable results

Import / Export Logistics Coordinator Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Transportation, Operations) or 35 years equivalent experience
  • 13 years of logistics, transportation, or distribution experience with focus on import / export and freight forwarding
  • Strong knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, ECCN, AES, HTS classification, rules of origin, RPS, and customs valuation
  • Familiarity with supply chain management, HAZMAT regulations (IATA, IMDG, DOT), and security programs (C-TPAT, AEO, CSI)
  • Proficient in data analysis, logistics optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; strong ethical standards
  • Curiosity and willingness to tackle complex challenges in an ambiguous environment
