  • Job Description BOG Jr. System Engineer
  • We are seeking a Jr. BOG (Boots on Ground) candidate to join our team.

    The BOG role will operate at the Akron Campus providing level one support to over 7 different locations. These responsibilities include ensuring availability, stability, and efficiency of the infrastructure, responding to incidents and requests, and administering required updates / break fixes to keep the Akron Campus functioning while minimizing downtime and impact to the end users.

    • Key Responsibilities :
    • Learn and develop skill set to provide Level 1 support to Akron Campus
    • Deploy new PCs, install licenses, install software and troubleshoot broken down machines
    • Preventative Maintenance
    • Work closely with Sr. / Lead teammates to deliver on plan they put in place
    • Work closely with larger IT team to understand changes coming to infrastructure that could impact supported areas
    • Additional Responsibilities based on user community needs
    • Required Professional Skills / Experience :
    • Strong communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences
    • Team member with proven communication and interpersonal skills
    • College Experience, no degree required
    • Customer Service Background
    • Minimum 3 years of Problem Solving / Troubleshooting
    • o Display willingness to attack complex problem and be able to break down into meaningful actionable steps

    • Show increasing level of responsibility and breadth of learning
    • o Must be coachable

    • Leader of small to medium projects with different technologies and team members with diverse background and skill sets.
    • Self-motivated to find and recommend improvements and learn new technologies.
    • Understand of project planning and execution to timeline (On Time, On Schedule, On Budget)
    • o Agile work mindset

    • Advanced Organizational skills
    • Ability to travel 10% of the time
    • Preferred Professional Skills / Experience
    • Previous leadership / management
    • Proof of career growth within a company
    • Tire Knowledge (Previous experience with Bridgestone is a plus)
    • Experience working with MS ADO
    • Ability to identify technical debt, create plan to mitigate the risk
    • Job Types : Full-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire

      Pay : $20.00 per hour

      Expected hours : 40 per week
