Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location : Pueblo, CO 81003 (Colorado nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Women's and Infants Labor & Delivery Unit

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 13 / 2025 – End : 1 / 12 / 2026)

Shift : Day shifts, 3x12-hour (5 : 45 AM – 6 : 15 PM), varied days, weekend coverage as needed

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2180–$2240 per week

Patient Ratio : 1 : 2

Charting System : Epic

Total Beds : 14

Orientation : 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active CO or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) License

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications

C-EFM or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required

Proficiency with Epic charting

First-time travel nurses welcome

Preferred : Charge nurse experience, community hospital background

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care to laboring patients, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum cases

Circulate in the operating room (OR) and assist with C-sections and high-risk deliveries

Place internal monitors and triage obstetrical patients

Support breastfeeding / lactation and provide discharge teaching to families

Administer medications, blood products, manage IVs, and respond to emergencies

Maintain accurate patient records using Epic electronic health record (EHR) system

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Float within scope to support facility needs as required
