The Opportunity

Within Aeroflow, the Facilities Team is integral to our day-to-day success and long-term growth. This team quite literally keeps the company moving and the buildings safe while leading projects that improve our work environment and employee experience.

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in building systems maintenance and engineering, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building operations. This role requires someone who can work independently, manage preventive maintenance programs, and respond quickly to building issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, manage, and execute the preventive maintenance program to ensure all facility systems are in proper working order.
  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and upgrades of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues, verify that preventive maintenance protocols are followed, and ensure optimal building performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Conduct routine safety inspections and maintain OSHA readiness.
  • Manage and coordinate external contractors and service vendors for specialized repairs, maintenance, and capital improvement projects. Review and approve work to ensure quality and adherence to company standards.
  • Monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot building automation systems to enhance energy efficiency, system reliability, and occupant comfort.
  • Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including minor carpentry, painting, and general facility repairs.
  • Maintain and update all technical documentation, maintenance logs, and repair histories for building systems and equipment.
  • Document all work performed via the company’s work order system, adhering to work order KPIs and response timelines.
  • Respond promptly to building emergencies such as power outages, equipment malfunctions, or water leaks to minimize operational disruption.
  • Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance
  • Maintain HIPAA / patient confidentiality
  • Regular and reliable attendance as assigned by your schedule

  • Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities engineering, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting; OR Equivalent combination of general building maintenance and repair experience (e.g., HVAC support, electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred; OR desire and ability to get certified within first 90 days of starting
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet work order response timelines and preventive maintenance expectations.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external service providers.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (Excel, Word, email) to document work orders, update maintenance records, and communicate with teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR required as part of background check)
