Financial Controller

Insight Global is looking for a Controller in Greenwich, CT to work for a car dealership. We are looking for someone who thrives in an all‑hands‑on deck, family‑run business.

Base pay range

$50.00 / hr - $60.00 / hr

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly financial statements according to manufacturer guidelines and completing the month‑end close process
• Ensuring all manufacturer accounts including warranty receivable, rebates / incentive receivables and co‑op advertising are current and accurate
• Weekly payroll preparation, accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Interpreting the Daily Operating Control (DOC) regularly and informing Dealer of developing trends
• Providing department managers with financial and management reports and direction of Dealer
• Serving as the main point of contact for the CPA firm, providing information and reporting as requested
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable government regulations including maintaining proper documentation for payroll taxes, income taxes, retirement plan records and others
• Participating in annual insurance proposals and supporting Dealer in selection of insurance products
• Acting as program administrator throughout the year
• Preparing and processing all insurance claims
• Ensuring all office personnel are using proper accounting procedures and maintaining accurate records
• Identifying training needs of staff and orchestrating educational needs
• Managing office staff, maintaining personnel files and overseeing new hire onboarding
