RN Registered Nurse

We are looking for a Registered Nurse in the Augusta, GA area

Shift and Shift hours : Full-Time

Position Summary :

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to individuals with developmental and / or intellectual disabilities (IDD), ensuring the delivery of safe, person-centered, and high-quality nursing services in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and Caregiver policies. The RN promotes health, safety, dignity, and quality of life for clients through care coordination, advocacy, education, and clinical oversight.

Essential Nursing Functions :

• Uphold principles of dignity, respect, and person-centered care in all interactions with individuals
• Provide clinical oversight to LPN / LVNs and other non-nursing staff as directed
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
• Conduct initial and ongoing nursing assessments
• Administer medications and treatments per physician / Advanced Practice Provider (APP) orders and applicable regulations
• Monitor and evaluate individuals for changes in health status and intervene accordingly
• Delegate and oversee nursing tasks to unlicensed staff and other approved caregivers only when appropriate to scope, and only to those who have been properly trained with demonstrated competency
• Ensure proper storage, handling, preparation, and labeling of medications
• Maintain accurate medication inventory and immediately report any discrepancies
• Provide health-related training to direct support staff, individuals, and caregivers
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care reviews, and service planning
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and other service agencies to ensure continuity of care
• Respond immediately to emergencies and provide nursing assistance
• Ensure a safe environment for individuals, staff, and others and immediately report safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with Caregiver policies and HIPAA requirements.
• Submit accurate and timely billing documentation, when applicable
• Support compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, HHS IDD, etc.).
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities
• Provide telephone triage nursing support for assigned on-call shifts, including after-hours as needed
