Job Title : Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Med / Surg RN)

Location : Sterling, Illinois

Shift : 12-Hour Night Shifts

Hours per Week : 36

License : Current and valid RN License in Illinois

  • Certifications : BLS and ACLS required.
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg experience preferred.
  • Schedule : Must be flexible to fill gaps in the schedule; no blocked scheduling .
  • Skills : Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time-management abilities.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver direct and individualized patient care in the Medical-Surgical unit.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans for assigned patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
  • Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and progress.
  • Administer medications and perform procedures as per physician orders.
  • Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation following hospital policies and standards.
