The opportunity :
The Dredge Electrician reports directly to the Chief Engineer for daily duties / general maintenance and to receive direction and guidance concerning major repairs and upgrades. The Dredge Electrician is responsible for repair, troubleshooting and general and preventative maintenance of all electrical equipment aboard the vessel. They are also responsible to recommend and maintain adequate spare parts and consumable items for uninterrupted operation of all equipment as deemed prudent. The Dredge Electrician will work day watch and overtime as required. They work under the general administrative supervision of the Chief Engineer or, during the absence of the Chief Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Maintenance Superintendent.
