Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Wilmington, NC 28401 Unit : Cardiac Medical Telemetry Contract Length : 13 to 26 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45 – 07 : 15) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1700-$1750 Patient Ratio : 1 : 6-7 Start Date : December 29, 2025 Orientation : 24 hours Scrubs : Navy Weekend Requirement : 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (every other weekend) Floating : Required as needed, potential to float every shift Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Telemetry, PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing settings Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or Compact State BLS and ACLS certifications required Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation and remote cardiac monitoring Experience with Pre / Post Cardiac Cath, Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal Central line and PICC line management skills Cardiac drip titration (Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, etc.) Blood product administration experience Must pass EKG testing prior to start Epic charting experience preferred NIHSS certification preferred Charge nurse experience preferred First-time travel nurses welcome Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac patients with diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization Monitor and manage cardiac drips and medications Perform sheath pulls and manage TR Bands and Femstop devices Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes promptly Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Document patient care accurately using EPIC and follow SBAR communication protocols Float to other nursing units as needed and participate in storm / hurricane team assignments if required Comply with all hospital and unit policies, including fatigue and call-off policies Wilmington, NC is a top destination for healthcare professionals seeking nursing jobs in North Carolina.
