Sr. Manager, M&A Cybersecurity

The Impact Youll Make in this Role

As Sr. Manager, M&A Cybersecurity, you will be part of the overall information security risk management program and strategy, providing leadership to build high-performing teams and engaging IT and Business leaders across a wide spectrum of acquisition and divestiture activities. Your collaborative approach and strong communication will help you engage and support colleagues inside and outside the organization. As part of this new healthcare spinoff, you will have the opportunity to create an industry best-practice program that enables inorganic growth.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Security Leader during the due-diligence and post-close assessment process, partnering with IT and business stakeholders to drive integration activities and cutover timelines.
• Lead divestiture activities, management of TSA cybersecurity requirements, and drive discovery and monitoring requirements for divested and TSA entities.
• Drive cybersecurity M&A assessment framework / methodology, mapping to a minimum subset of the Enterprise Control Framework (ECF) using NIST / HITRUST controls aligned with Enterprise Risk Management objectives.
• Lead a team that performs risk assessments of acquisitions and divestitures, identifying, mitigating, and tracking to closure risks across the enterprise, and providing actionable data and recommendations to leadership.
• Define and manage a corrective action plan process to identify systemic gaps within M&A activities and drive remediation.
• Define standardized risk assessment and exception handling processes, including criteria for managing exceptions.
• Develop and execute a gold-standard information security governance strategy and program; foster a culture of transparency, integrity, and accountability.
• Establish a Findings & Remediation program that identifies trends, provides actionable reporting, identifies root cause, and reduces inherent risk and technical debt.
• Support security champion and / or BISO functions for newly acquired businesses to align remediation accountability.
• Scale programs to match regulatory requirements and the organizations risk appetite; monitor regulatory changes and industry standards.
• Coordinate information transfer in compliance with policies; ensure proper destruction orders when necessary.
• Implement protocols to meet statutory, regulatory, ethical and privacy requirements for managing physical and electronic information.
• Support data governance initiatives, including data classification, retention and disposal, data sharing, records management, archiving, and data privacy.
