About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Oncology

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Medical Oncology-Infusion

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8 Hour Days

Hours per Shift : 40

Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience

License : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS and chemotherapy certification for infusion clinic

Must-Have : ONS chemotherapy certification preferred; OCN preferred but not required

Description :

General Information : Beds in outpatient clinic.

Minimum Experience : 1.5 years of nursing experience required.

Travelers must live more than 100 miles away from the facility.

Permanent staff must wait one full year to return as travelers.

Patient Types : Medical oncology and chemotherapy infusion.

Skills required : Chemotherapy infusion, chart checks, rooming patients including vital signs, weight, review of systems check, and medication reconciliation.

Support on the unit : Charge nurse available.

Resource nurse available.

Charting System / Equipment : Epic.

Med dispensing : Omnicell.

Floating : Not applicable.

Scheduling includes no weekend rotation.

On-call duty : Not required.

Holiday expectations : Not required.

Approval of time off is allowed.

Scrub color : Navy blue for nursing, gray for care assistants or medical assistants.
