Position Overview
The Construction Phase Services position is responsible for the coordination of the construction process, ensuring compliance with Baker Barrios quality standards and construction documents.
Essential Job Functions
Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, contractors and construction managers.
Attend pre-construction meetings, site visits, and job meetings. Project locations may require out of town travel.
Job site observations and monitors the progress of construction activities.
Prepare field reports and punch lists.
Research code issues and work with authorities having jurisdiction.
Coordinate and manage response to RFI.
Quality Control / Quality Assurance Reviews of construction documents.
Ability to identify and manage relatively high risk field issues.
Coordinate, manage and review of submittals and shop drawings.
Coordinate, manage and review construction change orders within discipline of training and experience.
Maintenance of client relationships.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics
5+ years of experience in a Construction Phase Services or similar role.
Ability to communicate well across all levels.
Knowledge of codes.
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
The following certifications / licenses preferred but not required : Licensed Architect, ICC Commercial Building Inspector, Florida Commercial Building Inspector, LEED AP.
Software experience preferred but not required include Microsoft suite, NewForma, CAD and / or REVIT
