Field Technician - Camera and Data Review
Location : Remote (with on-site coordination as needed)
About the Role :
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to support the deployment of AI-powered computer vision systems in healthcare and industrial environments. In this role, you will work closely under the guidance of a Senior AI Field Engineer and with customers to help with system performance, site surveys, camera layout planning, low-voltage infrastructure mapping, data collection, and hands-on field work.

Responsibilities :
- Assist in site surveys by capturing photos, measurements, and site conditions
- Support the creation of camera layout plans and field-of-view documentation
- Weekly on-site connect with each customer to gather AI system performance
- Perform setup and debugging of equipment such as PoE switches, cameras, and edge devices
- Help draft and update documentation, diagrams, and equipment checklists
- Coordinate with camera installers, electricians, and internal technical teams
- Maintain organized records of installed hardware and deployment metadata
- Support low-voltage planning (e.g., cable paths, camera mount locations)
- Handle light troubleshooting and escalate technical issues to the senior engineer
- Participate in travel to customer sites as needed to assist with deployments
Preferred :
Understanding of low-voltage systems and installation requirementsFamiliarity with tools like Milestone, Genetec, Blue Iris, or similar VMS platformsBasic scripting or automation skills to support layout configuration or documentation (e.g., Python, bash)Requirements
1–2 years of hands-on experience in a technical support, field service, IT, or installer-type role (or relevant coursework)Comfortable with tools such as Lucidchart, Google Sheets, or VisioBasic understanding of networked systems (IP cameras, switches, etc.)Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to data collection and reportingWillingness to travel and work onsite in clinical or industrial environmentsCurious, proactive, and eager to learn from senior engineers and real-world deploymentsExperience with site survey tools, cable routing diagrams, or facility blueprintsExposure to AI, computer vision, or edge computing conceptsBenefits
