Overview
The Morse Institute Library in Natick seeks a creative and enthusiastic part-time Information Services Librarian (19 hours per week). This position offers growth opportunities both inside the library and in community outreach.
Responsibilities
- Provide reference assistance and reader’s advisory to adults.
- Engage with the community and support outreach efforts across the library and Natick community.
- Participate in collection development.
- Staff information desk shifts.
- Collaborate with the Programming Librarian to develop programming for adults (optional).
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from an accredited institution (in exceptional cases, specialized education / experience may substitute part of the educational requirements).Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.Strong technology skills; familiarity with social media platforms.Bilingual abilities, experience with Springshare apps, Sierra, and / or basic computer troubleshooting skills are a plus.Details
