This is an on-site position. Moeller Precision Tool is centrally located within the Metro Detroit area, offering a 45-minute commute from Ann Arbor or Troy, Michigan. You'll have access to various local restaurants for lunch, easy I-96 access, and nearby apartment options.

Summary And Purpose :

Moeller Precision Tool is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who’s eager to grow into a Process Engineer role. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the shop floor and wants to apply that knowledge to improve manufacturing processes — no advanced engineering degree required.

Schedule :

7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM , Monday through Friday

  • Full-time (8–10 hours / day)
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs

Note : This is not a senior engineering role. If you have a master’s degree in engineering or extensive experience as a manufacturing engineer, this position may not be the right fit.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop work instructions to optimize fabrication of Build to Print precision components
  • Generates bill of materials and develops process flows to meet customer specifications
  • Interacts with Engineering Manager, Plant Management, and the Quality Manager for job related functions
  • Aids plant for technical issues related to processes and customer specifics
  • Ensures all red-lined drawings are updated at completion of process
  • May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description related to engineering discipline
  • Works with shift supervisors and department managers to ensure proper quality throughout the process for first time through

    • Requirements (Must-Haves) :

  • 3–5 years of machinist experience in a job shop or production environment.
  • Solid understanding of CNC / manual machining (mills, lathes, grinders).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and machining instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machining issues and contribute to process improvements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic aligned with Moeller Precision Tool’s values.

    • Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves) :

  • Experience with Epicor ERP or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Familiarity with CAD software.
