Senior OBD Continuous Improvement Project Lead
The Sr OBD Continuous Improvement Project Lead fills a critical role in leading the development of US Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Projects of varied scope and complexity. With minimal supervision, this position will develop a portfolio of strategic continuous improvement projects across the US Supply Chain to develop a multi-year project pipeline. The individual will be collaborating with multiple functions to develop operational solutions, provide recommendations to leadership, and establish and implement execution plans for margin expansion and network optimization solutions. They will leverage supply chain knowledge and technical skills to drive solutions in a dynamic business environment.
Key responsibilities of the Sr CI Project Lead include :
- Leads the formulation, evaluation, strategy setting, and presentation of US Supply Chain margin improvement solutions and alternatives with a focus on product and process improvement and network sourcing projects
- Develops and presents project business feasibility assessments including project financial analysis, supply chain feasibility and risk assessment
- Develops capital projects through completion and serves as a project leader during capital project development and approval
- Serves as Program Manager for complex continuous improvement projects including managing project timelines, interdependencies, risk analysis and contingency planning
- Supports the US Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Business Process
- Demonstrates and develops supply chain experience to understand and ultimately provide robust operational solutions
Major Duties & Responsibilities :
Project DevelopmentLead cross functional teams in the development of supply chain margin improvement and network solution projects with sound technical solutionsDevelop project business feasibility assessments including project scope, budget, resource requirements, schedule, end-to-end supply chain feasibility, risk assessment and financial analysisDevelop capital projects through completion and serves as a project leader during capital project development and approvalPresent project business cases and make recommendations for project initiationProject / Program ManagementProvide continuous improvement project / program management to identify project interdependencies and resolve conflicts to ensure projects are completed on scheduleCollaborate with multiple business case owners to manage project interdependencies and adjust scopes and milestones as needed based on key project criteriaManage projects through both commercial and capital governance processesEfficiently align all key stakeholders on critical decisions and keep them abreast of changes as projects progressSupply Chain Cost OptimizationCollaborate with Supply Chain Planning and Strategy teams to identify opportunities to reduce costs through network optimization, insourcing and manufacturing automationLead cross functional value stream mapping and ideation sessions to develop a strategic, multi-year portfolio of continuous improvement projectsSupport different budget areas to develop business cases for cost optimization projects, shepherd capital projects through governance, and provide assistance to bring projects through commercial governanceUS Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Business ProcessesSupport development of CI pipeline improvements and maintenanceSupport updates and improvements to CI business processesLead Supply Chain CI meetings to determine the health of the CI pipeline, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure accuracy of CI reportingMinimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties / responsibilities :
